We Welcome You at First Congregational Church of Wakefield, United Church of Christ

We are a warm and friendly Open and Affirming congregation, and our doors are always open to new friends!  You are invited to join us for worship on Sunday morning at 10.  Come and see!

The mission statement of our congregation is “Hearing God’s Call, Growing in Love and Care.”  As a church, we seek to experience and carry the light of God’s love through a variety of ministries:   in worship that is meaningful, comforting and challenging; in programs which recognize that learning and growing in faith is a dynamic lifelong process; in fellowship that is deep and wide, and in service to our community and our world that brings care and assistance to places of brokenness and need.

There is a special spirit in this church.  The comments of one new member of the church sum it up nicely:  “This is the church I have been looking for.  It is so caring and warm.  I didn’t know a church like this existed.”
