Now we can turn our online Amazon shopping into raising funds for our church!

Instead of going to, go to and search for First Congregational Church of Wakefield, NH UCC as your charity.  Or click on this link  FCCW Amazon Smile  and go directly to our charity.  Then shop as usual!   After checkout,  a percentage of your purchase will go to the church. Be sure to log into Amazon Smile every time you shop!  It’s as simple as that!

Savers – a thrift store in Newington, NH accepts donations from non-profits.  Through this FUNdraiser, we can donate our no-longer wanted items and the church will receive cash for goods depending on weight.  They need not be in re-sellable condition.

Savers accepts  — Clothing & Shoes, Men’s, Women’s, Children’s, Hats, Mittens, Scarves, Ties, Nylons, Socks, Underwear. And soft household items such as Bedding, Towels, etc.  regardless of condition.

Our next collection will be in the spring.  Check back for more information about collection date, etc.!

Clean out your closets, recycle and reuse, and help the church while you’re at it.  We now have an account set up at Lilac’s Consignment Shop in Sanbornville where you can bring your “still-good but don’t want it” clothing for resale.  The proceeds from the sale of items will go to the church.

It’s easy to do!  They accept clothing for men, women and children (size 5T and up), handbags, shoes, accessories that are clean and in resale condition.    You can drop off your items at any time.  No appointment is necessary, but they ask that you call ahead for large donations. Please be sure that clothing is off hangers, and in bags and tell them that you are donating them for the FCCW account.  Their winter hours are Tuesday—Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.  Our church will receive a check for our portion of the sale prices.  Items that are not sold will be donated to charity in our community.

For up-to-date information about Lilac’s, visit, their Facebook page.  Lilac’s is located at 27 Meadow Street in Sanbornville, next to Tumbledown Cafe.

Here are e a few simples ways you can help FCCW save on our purchases at STAPLES without spending a penny!

  • When making a purchase at Staples you can ask they apply the REWARDS of your purchase to the Church Account by providing them the Church phone number 603-522-3189.  How easy it that!
  • If you have any coupons you are not using, please drop them off  at the Church Office and we can use them to help save money on purchases!
  • Don’t throw away your Used Ink Cartridges. Please drop these off in the Church Office and we will recycle them through our account at STAPLES and receive Ink Recycling Rewards for them.

Located in the Old Town Hall across the street from the Church, The Treasure Shop, is operated by the Parish Helpers.  They accept all sorts of  resellable items such as dishes, small appliances, kitchen ware, craft items including fabric and yarn, books, giftware, toys (no stuffed animals), linens and bedding (no pillows).  The Treasure Shop is not avaailable in the winter, but come May the ladies are busy at work setting things up for the busy summer season.  The shop is open on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 9 a.m. and 12 p.m. during July and August.  Donations can me made in the spring by appointment or during open hours.  The Treasure Shop is the primary fundraiser for the Parish Helpers who in turn, donate to help support the church and other local and global charities.  Please consider putting aside your “too-good-to-throw-away” items for the Treasure Shop to sell!

We sometimes have items of some value donated to the church that are not suitable for the Treasure Shop, the Yard Sale and definitely not for the Transfer Station.  These items are put up for sale on line on Craig’s List.   To see what we have to offer, follow us on Facebook!  Go to

Our Annual Yard Sale is held on the last Saturday of August.  Almost anything can be donated to the Yard sale, including furniture and appliances.
