The Shepherd Program is a service that benefits Wakefield, Brookfield, and Union residents who lack transportation to doctors, dentists, therapy, counseling, and other such appointments. Volunteers come from many area churches and organizations, as well as the First Congregational Church.

When we receive a request for a ride, we call volunteers to fill the need. The volunteers provide rides whenever their own schedules allow them to do so.

This program has been greatly appreciated by its users and the volunteers receive great satisfaction from the opportunity to serve others.

To request a ride, or to volunteer as a driver, call the church office (hours). We can serve you better if you make your request well in advance of your appointment day
